FedRetire is built to be private by default. We collect no personal data. The information you enter — your name, salary, years of service, and retirement age — is used only to calculate your estimates and is stored only on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.
FedRetire is a federal retirement estimator for iPhone, developed and operated as an independent app. It is not affiliated with any U.S. government agency. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@kraus.studio.
Nothing is sent to us. FedRetire has no user accounts, no login, and no servers that store your data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.
We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers. We do not embed analytics SDKs, we do not profile you, and we never sell or share personal information — because we never receive it.
All retirement estimates are computed locally on your device using simplified OPM formulas. None of your personal figures leave the app to produce them.
The following is saved on your iPhone only, and never leaves it:
If you turn on Reminders, FedRetire schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated by your device — not delivered from a remote server — and contain no personal data. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
FedRetire does not request or access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, health data, or any bank or financial accounts. The only permission it may request is Notifications, and only if you choose to enable Reminders.
The Resources screen links to official sites such as OPM.gov, TSP.gov, and SSA.gov. When you tap a link, it opens in your browser and that site's own privacy policy applies.
FedRetire is intended for working adults and is not directed at children. Because we collect no personal data at all, the app is inherently safe for all ages.
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. You can clear everything at any time by deleting the app — this removes all locally stored profile data and preferences from your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations to access, correct, or delete your data. Since we do not collect personal data, these rights are automatically satisfied. If you have a concern, contact us and we will respond promptly.
As no personal data is transmitted to or stored by us, there is no data at risk on our end. All processing happens on your device, protected by iOS's built-in security model.
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of FedRetire after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
