FedRetire provides illustrative retirement estimates for general information only — not financial, legal, tax, or retirement advice. It is an independent app and not a U.S. government service. Always confirm your official figures with OPM and your HR or benefits specialist before making decisions.
By downloading, installing, or using the FedRetire iOS application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these Terms as the app evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FedRetire on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, sublicense, or remove proprietary notices from the app, or use it unlawfully.
FedRetire provides illustrative retirement estimates for general informational purposes. It is not financial, legal, tax, or retirement advice, and using the app does not create any advisory or fiduciary relationship.
FedRetire is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the Social Security Administration (SSA), or any U.S. federal agency.
Estimates are based on simplified formulas and the figures you provide. They do not account for every factor that affects your actual annuity — such as survivor elections, FEHB premiums, unused sick leave, deposits or redeposits, or COLA adjustments. Your official benefit is determined solely by OPM and your employing agency.
Do not make retirement, financial, or employment decisions based only on these estimates. Always request an official benefits estimate from your HR or benefits specialist before acting.
The app and its design, text, graphics, and content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. These Terms transfer no intellectual property ownership to you.
You agree not to violate applicable laws, attempt unauthorized access to any system, interfere with the app's integrity or performance, or use automated means such as scraping, bots, or crawlers.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We make no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate it produces is accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or your reliance on its estimates. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount, if any, you paid for the app in the preceding 12 months.
The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of Apple's services is subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for Apple's products or services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent German courts.
These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We may revise these Terms by updating this page; the effective date above shows when the latest version was published. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
